Lake Klinsmann opponents Saudi Arabia lose 1-3 to Costa Rica

Korea-Saudi Arabia to face off in A-Match Trial on Nov. 13

Reporter Park Ji-hyuk = Saudi Arabia, who will face Klinsmann’s men, were thrashed by Costa Rica. Newly appointed Italian coach Roberto Mancini had a favorable debut.

Saudi Arabia lost 1-3 to Costa Rica in a national football team trial match at St. James’ Park in Newcastle, England, on Sept. 9 (KST).

It was the debut of world-class coach Mancini in charge of Saudi Arabia.

Mancini led Inter Milan (Italy) to three consecutive Italian professional soccer Serie A titles (2005-2006, 2006-2007, and 2007-2008), and he also coached Manchester City (England) to the 2011-2012 English Premier League (EPL) title.

In 2018, he took over the reins of his native Italy and led them to the Euro 2020 (European Football Championship 2020).

On the day, the Saudis held a 61%-39% advantage in possession and had more shots, but were not as efficient.

The Saudis conceded a goal to Francisco Calvo just 12 minutes into the match, and Manfred Ugalde added another in the 32nd minute.

Trailing 0-2 at halftime, the Saudis rallied with a 23rd-minute goal from Al-Bulaihi, but were brought to their knees by Randall Lill in the 44th minute of stoppage time.토스카지노

South Korea, who drew 0-0 with Wales on Aug. 8, will face Saudi Arabia at 1:30 a.m. on Sept. 13.

Jürgen Klinsmann (GER) hasn’t registered a win in five matches since taking charge in March, with three draws and two defeats.

South Korea has a 17-4-7-6 record against the Saudis all-time.
